Free shuttle bus service for Bracknell industrial areas
5 months ago
On Monday 15th April, we launched a new shuttle service connecting the western and southern industrial areas of Bracknell. Funded by Bracknell BID for a trial period, the bus service runs five journeys in the morning peak, and five journeys in the afternoon peak on weekdays, connecting the railway station with the commercial and industrial areas to the west of the town. The service is free to use for anyone who works in the Bracknell BID area.
Running every 30 minutes, and timed to connect with train services to/from the London direction, the bus runs a circular route along Western Road and Cain Road, then continuing to the Southern Industrial area stopping at Doncastle Road, Lovelace Road, Ellesfield Avenue, Willoughby Road and Oldbury before returning directly to the railway station. The service is listed on the Thames Valley Buses app so users can see it running in real time and check the bus location. Details can be found here.
Intending passengers must have a BID "I-Work" Loyalty card and show this to the driver as they board. The I-Work cards are free for anyone who works in the Bracknell BID area and offers discounts at a variety of shops and services offered by Bracknell based organisations. More information about the I-Work card can be found here.
Bracknell BID was established in 2020 to provide infrastructure improvements and a smart working environment for businesses to operate and its people to move around safely and effectively, as well as supporting businesses in Bracknell to grow, develop and invest by creating a great working environment.
