New service 20 to connect Maidenhead to High Wycombe
8 months ago
We are delighted to announce another new route opportunity for our Maidenhead customers from next week when we launch our new High Wycombe service.
Running hourly all day Monday to Saturday from 3rd November, Service 20 will run past St Mark's Hospital, Courthouse Road, Switchback Road, then via Cookham village to Bourne End Station. From there, the 20 will continue via Blind Lane and Flackwell Heath before passing Marlow Hill Schools and heading into Wycombe via Desborough Avenue to High Wycombe Bus Station where our buses will use Stand 11.
Our new buses being used on the route have many features for luxury and comfort, including coffee-shop style wood effect flooring and comfortable high back seats. The buses also provide seat back and wireless charging and free WIFI to help customers stay connected whilst on the move. They all feature next stop audio and visual announcements, and distinctive purple route branding to assist customers navigating their journeys.
Please see here for our full timetable and leaflet, or use our journey planner or online timetable.
Our simplyMaidenhead ticket zone is being extended to Bourne End so regular travellers can purchase a weekly ticket from as little as £19, and day tickets are just £5.50. And for our new customers north of Maidenhead, we are introducing a new Wycombe zone, extending from High Wycombe to Bourne End, with a day ticket price of £4.70 and weekly tickets for £18 (prices are all for app based tickets, and are slightly higher when purchased on the bus).
Our Network ticket is now valid from Newbury in the west to Heathrow Airport to the east, and from High Wycombe in the north to Farnborough in the south of our region, and a day ticket for the whole of this area is just £8.50 when bought from our Thames Valley Buses app. The group network ticket for up to 4 people travelling together is even better value at £21 before 0930 Monday to Friday or £15.50 at all other times, available from the driver of your first bus. Great value for exploring the Thames Valley!
