Changes to fares from Monday 2nd September

Some of our fares will be changing from Monday 2nd September. We have tried to hold as many fares as possible, but some fares are having to change. We are pleased to confirm that we will be continuing to offer the £2 maximum single fare across our services following the extension of the UK government help for households scheme until at least 31st December 2024.

Tap on, tap off

If you travel on our services in Wokingham and Reading, our tap on, tap off payment method,offers an easier and faster way to pay; with tap on tap off adult tickets you just pay for what you use with tickets capped at the price of a day ticket for the area you are travelling in. Tap on, tap off is implemented on Thames Valley Routes 121, 122, 123, 124, 125, 127, 128 and 129, along with all services operated by Reading Buses.  To find out more click here.

This ticket is for services 108, 171/2 and also service 194 between Bracknell Bus Station and Ringmead, plus Reading Buses lion services between Bracknell Bus Station and the old John Nike Ski Centre (X4) or Peacock Farm (4).

Group ticket

The Reading All-Bus group ticket will remain the same price - £5.50 off-peak (after 9.30am Monday – Friday and all day weekends / Public Holidays) and £10 other times.

The simplyMaidenhead zone covers buses in the Maidenhead urban area, as far as Fifield on route 16, and Taplow Sainsbury on route 53.

The simplySlough & Windsor zone covers buses in Slough from Taplow Sainsburys in the west to Heathrow Airport to the east, along with all our services in Windsor.  It also covers London Line 702 between the Prince Albert public house (Clewer) and Langley and on Flightline 703 from the Prince Albert through to Heathrow.

This ticket covers buses between Slough town centre and Cippenham on route 5.  Customers wishing to use route 5 between Slough and Heathrow should purchase a simplySlough & Windsor ticket.

This zone covers all our buses and those of Reading Buses, except for the London line 702 into London. If you travel outside of one of the 'urban' zones (Bracknell/ Wokingham, Reading, Maidenhead, Slough/Windsor) then you will need to get a simplyNetwork ticket.

Single fares below £2

For the journeys that cost below £2, these will be available online shortly. Single fares below £2 will generally rise by 10p. Return fares of under £4 will also rise by 10p.
