Fares update

1 month ago Wed 17th Aug 2022

Our fares have changed from Monday 5th September. This is partly due to government funding changes, and partly to reflect inflationary pressures on items such as vehicle components and fuel amongst other increased costs.

A general summary of what is changing is below:

Single fares will generally increase by 10-30p and return/day tickets by 30-50p. The adult flat single fare within Bracknell will be £2.80 and in Maidenhead £2.90. The day ticket within South Bracknell will be £4.00 on bus or £3.70 on the app, for Bracknell & Wokingham it will be £5.00 on bus and £4.70 on the app, whilst in Maidenhead the day ticket will be £5.30 on bus and £5.00 on the app.

Boost tickets are still available for passengers aged 18 and under, or up to 21 if they can show valid student identification for a local college or university.  As a trial, Maidenhead tickets purchased on the app now need to go through an age or student verification process.

Most areas have weekly or longer version tickets on the app which provide better value for regular travellers, whilst our daysaver5 tickets have been introduced to make savings for more infrequent users.

Generally, tickets bought on our app will remain cheaper than buying on bus to help minimise the impact of the increase.

Fares in the Slough & Windsor area, which were changed last month, will not be changed again at this time.

The fare changes will hopefully close the financial gap to allow us to continue providing efficient and reliable services.

Farecharts are available in pdf form in each dedicated route page.
