Changes to some services from 31 August

10 months ago Fri 15th Aug 2025

With the new school term starting, we have taken the opportunity to tidy up some services and ensure they are still scheduled appropriately for the latest traffic conditions.

Services 1/1A – Some journeys are being retimed to better reflect running times, especially late afternoon. On Saturdays and public holidays, all journeys will operate as service 1 rather than 1A with a new timetable.

Service 2 – The journeys which previously operated only on school holidays at 0645 and 1505 from Windsor, and at 0805 from Wexham Park Hospital will now run each weekday. Some times are amended by up to 5 minutes.

Service 7 – The loop to St Mark’s Hospital will take a new route from Windsor Castle pub via St Marks Road, All Saints Avenue and Courthouse Road (anticlockwise around the cemetery), serving the hospital stops C and A. It will return to Maidenhead and Woodlands Park by its current route. The loop will no longer serve Boyn Hill Road, North Star Lane or Wootton Way due to low patronage.

Service 53 – On journeys towards Wexham Park Hospital, instead of serving Frascati Way which has become very congested, buses will turn right into Broadway and use Stop N as the timing point. Buses will then divert along Queen Street, High Street and St Ives Road serving bus stops M (Market Place) and L (Library). Some times are amended by up to 5 minutes.

Service 128 - The 0835 weekday journey from Twyford to Reading will start from Wokingham, Rectory Road at 0817 and run via A321 directly to Hurst, then serving stops along Broadwater Lane, Twyford Station (at approximately 0833) and into Twyford.

Service 194 – We are making timetable changes to better reflect running times on all days. The last weekday bus through to Farnborough and return is withdrawn due to low patronage. We are introducing additional Sunday journeys earlier in the morning and later evening.

Services 227/228 – The 228 journey at 1015 from Maidenhead will run as a 227 to Twyford, returning from there at 1105. The 227 journey from Maidenhead at 1145 will run as a 228 journey to Henley, returning at 1240 and in both directions buses will divert via BCA College entrance. There are some minor timetable amendments with some journeys amended by up to 5 minutes.

Service 598 – The route will be revised to serve shops on Yorktown Road in both directions. There are some minor changes to the timetable and timing points changed in Sandhurst.

Service 704 – Some timing changes to better reflect current running, with more time allowed between Slough and Heathrow and less between Slough and Maidenhead.

Timetable booklets will be available soon, and in the meantime the new times are showing on our online timetable (but remember to change the date to 31 August or beyond).
