Temporary timetable changes

2 weeks ago Wed 17th Nov 2021

In consultation with Bracknell Forest Council, we’ve made temporary changes to some services to help us run buses while we recruit more drivers. This has been in place from Monday 22nd November.

We’re sorry we haven’t been able to run buses to our normal standard recently, and these temporary timetables should help us maintain a more reliable service.

Along with many other industries, bus operators across the country are experiencing a shortage of staff, leaving the company with not enough drivers to operate routes each day.  The problem has been compounded by issues at DVLA where delays issuing provisional licences to new bus driver trainees has meant that we have had to wait many weeks or months before newly recruited drivers can start their training.

The services affected by the temporary arrangements are:

Service 108 – Service suspended on Monday to Saturday, please see alternative services E1 and E2

Service 150 – Service suspended on Monday to Saturday, please see alternative services E1, E2 and E3

Services 157/8 - Service suspended on Monday to Saturday, please see alternative services E1, E2 and E3

Service 194 – Reduced frequency between approximately 1000 and 1430 on Monday to Friday, and suspension of late evening journeys on Monday to Saturday

Service N1 – Service suspended on Monday to Saturday

The new hourly service E1 will follow a circle around the north of Bracknell, covering much of the 158, 150 and 108 routes, similar to that served by the current N1, with an hourly service E2 working the circuit in the opposite direction.  New service E3 will be a dedicated service for Priestwood, also running hourly.

There are no changes to any services on Sundays.
